Online Safety At School

As a school, we are committed to teaching the children about how to stay safe online and what they should do if they have any problems online. Our children are taught the SMART code from KS1. These are a set of rules to follow and remember to ensure they are safe online.

S - Safe

M - Meeting

A - Accepting

R - Reliable

T - Trust

Alongside these rules, there are a number of video clips and activities the children take part in. All year groups complete online safety in Autumn Term 1 but during every computing unit there is an element of online safety and discussion. As a school, we believe it is an ongoing subject that must be addressed whenever computing equipment is used.

Not only do we provide structured online safety lessons, we have local police in school to provide workshops for our upper KS2 children.
