Children's Mental Health Week 2026 This week, we're proud to be taking part in Children's Mental Health Week, an annual event that helps shine a light on children and young people's mental health and wellbeing. The theme this year is "This is My Place", which is all about belonging feeling safe, valued, and included at school, with friends, and in the wider community. Throughout the week, children will take part in activities and conversations that encourage them to share how they feel, celebrate what makes them unique, and recognise that school is a place where everyone belongs. We look forward to working together with families to support children's emotional wellbeing and help every child feel confident, connected, and able to thrive We would like to introduce you to the Lumi Nova app, which provides support for children aged 7-12 years who may be struggling with anxiety or worries. This app is free to use and has been commissioned by the NHS to support families in Herefordshire. If you have any questions regarding the app please get in touch.

There are definitely some budding chefs in Buttercups. They have shown such enthusiasm during their Friday cooking session. Today they worked hard chopping fruit to make a 'Winter Fruit Salad' topped with a melon star and a honey and lime dressing

You know what? Today I was struck by just how fortunate children at Trinity really are, and not just for the usual educational reasons. To have our own school swimming pool in this day and age is almost unheard of. To have consistent, high-quality swimming instruction available throughout a child's primary years is something truly special and something that should be protected, valued and celebrated. I've been in education for a long time, and I honestly don't think I have ever had the privilege of seeing a group of children look so happy, so confident, so secure and so safe in the water. Their ease, joy and self-belief were unmistakable and quietly extraordinary. I can't share a photograph (here's a do-it-yourself one of the pool – you just have to add the children), but sometimes it's important to say out loud what we do well. Today felt like one of those moments.

Kestrels have been enjoying some activities related to Number Day. They have been making tally and bar charts using Smarties for individualised data. They have made artwork related to shape taking inspiration from Paul Klee.
